Meet Terry Carwile. Terry is the Craig Chamber’s Sportsman Information Officer. Terry brought considerable outdoor experience when he came to Northwest Colorado in the mid 1970s. During the years that he’s lived in Craig, Terry has enjoyed a wide array of outdoor activities that encompass a great deal of Northwest Colorado. Hunting Information

Are you interested in hunting or fishing in Northwest Colorado? Perhaps you are looking to observe some of our fantastic wildlife. Wish you had a local Northwest Colorado contact to help you find the places to go?

You do! Contact the Craig Sportsmans Information Center, located in the Moffat County Visitors Center. We can help you plan your next Northwest Colorado adventure!

Our center offers advice on:
• Hunting
• Sightseeing Adventures
• Fishing trips
• Preparing for sudden weather
changes
• Guides and Outfitters
• Private land/trespass hunts

We sell the following:
• OHV and snowmobile permits
• Colorado State Park passes
• BLM and National Forest maps
• Reissue lost hunting licenses and carcass tags

The Sportsman Information Center along with local outfitters/guides, businesses, hunters, fishermen and state officals are here to help you obtain the lastest information relevant to your outdoor needs. If we do not have an immediate answer to your problem, we will make a best effort to obtain the correct information from a relevant source.

Craig's greatest resource is its people. Friendly and helpful, they are always glad to share western hospitality!

CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) Information:
The Craig Chamber of Commerce will make every effort to provide you with the most up-to-date information about the status of CWD in the elk and deer populations of northwest Colorado. Currently the Colorado DOW is working with the communities affected by CWD to provide timely testing of carcasses during the fall hunting season. For more information please follow the links below:

DOW Submission Location for CWD.

Open 7 days a week through Dec. 31.
Hours for season dates:
8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hours for non-season dates: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Cost is $15 per animal.
